UNDP, City of Copenhagen Targeted in Data-Extortion Cyberattack

UNDP experienced a cyberattack in late March resulting in data theft affecting human resources, procurement and other confidential records; the incident also impacted Copenhagen's IT infrastructure. UNDP has identified exposed data, contacted affected parties, and taken containment actions, while a ransomware-associated group (8Base) publicly listed UNDP among its victims and claimed to have uploaded sensitive files.
