Japan's Financial Services Agency (FSA) warns of a growing campaign of phishing-driven account takeovers against online stock trading services: attackers harvest login credentials via fake websites, perform unauthorized access (3,312 incidents) and have executed 1,454 fraudulent transactions, typically selling victims' stocks and buying Chinese stocks that remain in the victim accounts. The FSA urges users to avoid clicking links, bookmark legitimate URLs, enable MFA and login/transaction notifications, and watch for fake ads and phishing emails.
