Chinese Company Hikvision Banned By Canadian Government

The Canadian government has ordered Hikvision Canada Inc. to cease all operations and close its Canadian business after a national security review concluded continued operations would be injurious to Canada’s national security; the decision also bans purchase and use of Hikvision products by federal departments, agencies, and Crown corporations and initiates a review of legacy Hikvision devices, citing related actions such as the FCC's placement of Hikvision on a Covered List and Quebec’s earlier provincial prohibitions.
