Positive Technologies' analysis of 18 months of dark‑web and Telegram data shows a sharp rise in cyber activity targeting GCC nations—especially the UAE and Saudi Arabia—including a 70% increase in DDoS attacks, frequent sales and "access giveaways" of stolen credentials (many tied to government employees), and public hacktivist campaigns (e.g., a 100+ hour DoS). The report warns that low-cost access offerings and novice-friendly DDoS tactics are expanding the attacker pool, while both hacktivists and APT-like actors are active in espionage and disruptive operations across key sectors.
