Courtroom Recording Platform JAVS Hijacked in Supply Chain Attack

Rapid7 reported that a Windows variant of the RustDoor (GateDoor) installer was distributed via a compromised Justice AV Viewer v8.3.7 supply-chain package used by courtroom and detention facility AV systems nationwide; the installer requests high privileges and can enable full system takeover. Rapid7 investigated, Justice AV removed the corrupted files and stated no source code or certificates were compromised, but researchers recommended re-imaging affected endpoints and resetting credentials due to high risk, and noted the actors continue to update their C2 infrastructure and RustDoor has historical links to ALPHV/BlackCat.
