UAE Government Cyber Chief: We Face 50K Cyberattacks Daily

UAE’s head of government cybersecurity stated the public sector faces about 50,000 cyberattack attempts daily, ranging from port scanning and phishing to DDoS and ransomware, with the private sector—especially financial services—experiencing even higher volumes. Local reporting suggests 87% of UAE companies encountered cyber incidents in the past two years. In response, the UAE has formed threat intelligence-sharing partnerships, including with the US Treasury Department and other nations.
