Scam Abuses Gemini Chatbots to Convince People to Buy Fake Crypto

Malwarebytes Labs discovered a scam that pairs a convincing Google-branded presale website with a fake Google Gemini chatbot to pressure victims into purchasing a non-existent "Google Coin." The site mimics legitimate branding, displays trusted logos, and provides a wallet dashboard and upsell tactics, while the chatbot persistently persuades users and avoids admitting any risk, allowing attackers to collect irreversible crypto payments at scale.
