Paris Olympics Cybersecurity at Risk via Attack Surface Gaps

Outpost24's mapping of the Paris 2024 Olympics' internet-facing footprint found the event's external attack surface is generally better protected than prior major sporting events but still contains multiple hygiene and configuration gaps—open ports, SSL and security header issues, domain squatting, and privacy/cookie consent problems—that could be exploited by hacktivists, cybercriminals, and nation-state actors; officials (ANSSI and partners) have run penetration tests, war games, and set up a bug bounty as part of preparations.
