Microsoft, DOJ Dismantle Russian Hacker Group Star Blizzard

Microsoft and the U.S. Department of Justice disrupted and seized domains tied to Russian-sponsored APT "Star Blizzard" (aka Cold River/Callisto), a long-running espionage campaign using spear-phishing to steal credentials and a recently developed custom backdoor; the action targeted infrastructure used against journalists, NGOs, government and military targets and is intended to disrupt possible election interference and future malicious operations.
