Phony Hacktivist Pleads Guilty to Disney Data Leak

A perpetrator pleaded guilty to distributing a malicious AI-art tool that compromised a Disney employee’s personal device, allowing access to internal Slack data and resulting in the theft and public leak of sensitive files (reported as part of a 1.1TB dump). The attacker attempted extortion, reportedly affected additional victims, and the FBI is investigating while Disney temporarily stopped using Slack and took personnel actions.
