Kenya Detected Over 1B Cyber Threats in Q4

Kenya reported a sharp rise in detected cyber threats in the final quarter of last year, with the Communications Authority citing about 1.2 billion events versus 123 million in the prior quarter, including 13.2 million malware detections and 9.7 million brute-force attempts. While the success rate of attacks was unspecified, officials said the government is enhancing monitoring systems, training staff, and pursuing regional cooperation to mitigate cross-border threats.
