OpenSea Phishers Aim to Drain Crypto Wallets of NFT Enthusiasts

Researchers at Cofense discovered an active phishing campaign impersonating the OpenSea NFT marketplace that sends emails claiming there is a new offer on a user’s listing; victims are directed to a fake OpenSea page and prompted to “Connect Wallet,” which allows attackers to seize control of and drain cryptocurrency wallets. The report outlines the social-engineering techniques, prior OpenSea-targeting incidents, and recommends standard email-hygiene and sender verification to reduce risk.
