Microsoft Patches 83 CVEs in March Update

Microsoft’s March Patch Tuesday fixes 83 CVEs—including one CVSS 9.8 RCE and several critical elevation-of-privilege (EoP) and RCE bugs—and vendors highlight a handful of EoP (including kernel and SMB issues) and Office Preview Pane RCEs as higher priority; most issues are patched and not reported as actively exploited, so administrators are advised to test then apply updates while using mitigations (disable Preview Pane, filter attachments) where immediate fixes aren’t possible.
