Global Cybercriminal Duo Face Imprisonment After Hive RAT Scheme

Edmond Chakhmakhchyan (aka "Corruption") was arrested by the FBI and indicted for conspiring to advertise and sell the Hive remote access trojan (RAT) on Hack Forums, accepting bitcoin for licenses, and supporting malware customers; the indictment charges include conspiracy and advertising an interception device. Hive RAT enables unauthorized remote control, disabling programs, browsing files, keystroke logging, accessing communications, and credential theft; Chakhmakhchyan faces up to five years per count, and the Australian Federal Police have charged the alleged malware creator.
