IDC projects cybersecurity spending in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa to surpass $6.5B in 2024, fueled by generative-AI uncertainty, regulatory ramp-ups (notably in KSA, Jordan, and the UAE), and geopolitical stress, with core countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE leading maturity while many others face funding gaps and slower progress. Threats remain pronounced—around 40% of attacks are attributed to APTs, RATs and spyware are common, wipers are on the rise (posing severe ICS risks), and cloud security concerns persist—while overall investment momentum aligns with global peers but yields uneven improvements across the region.
