Advance Auto Parts Data Breach Affects 2.3M Customers

Advance Auto Parts disclosed an April 14 data breach in which unauthorized actors accessed its Snowflake cloud environment for over a month, exposing personal information (including names, Social Security numbers, driver’s/license or government ID numbers, and dates of birth) of more than 2.3 million current and former employees and job applicants; law enforcement was notified and affected individuals are being offered credit monitoring and identity restoration services.
