Operation PowerOFF: an international law enforcement effort coordinated by Europol seized 27 popular DDoS booter/stresser platforms (including zdstresser.net, orbitalstress.net, and starkstresser.net), arrested three administrators in France and Germany, and identified about 300 customers; authorities are also using online ads, warning letters, and knock-and-talks to deter further misuse ahead of a historically active holiday period for DDoS attacks.
