Platform Engineering Is Security Engineering

This article advocates a security-first approach to platform engineering, recommending least-privilege principles, hardened defaults for infrastructure-as-code, integrated automated security testing in CI/CD pipelines, runtime and image scanning, just-in-time access controls, and adoption of GitOps to improve security posture while preserving developer experience and velocity.
