Tokenization Moves Beyond Payments to Personal Privacy

Visa's tokenization service, introduced in 2014, has scaled to over 10 billion tokens and is credited with significantly reducing fraud (about 60%) and enabling billions in e‑commerce transactions; adoption accelerated during the pandemic.
