10 Bugs Found in Perplexity AI's Chatbot Android App

Appknox researchers analyzed the Perplexity AI Android app and identified ten security issues — many rated high or critical — including insecure network configuration, absent SSL validation/certificate pinning, StrandHogg, CVE-2017-13156, clickjacking, CORS misconfigurations, lack of bytecode obfuscation, no ADB/developer-options detections, and critically, hardcoded Google API keys and access tokens that could allow attackers to bypass authentication and access user data; users were advised to uninstall the app until fixes are released.
