SWEEPS Educational Initiative Offers Application Security Training

The SWEEPS program is a new, NSA/NCAE-C-funded ($2.5M) education initiative led by a coalition of universities (including UC Davis, UMBC, and WPI) and cybersecurity organizations to provide secure coding training across formats—one-day workshops, a 45-hour self-paced course, one-week intensive bootcamps, and a one-year advanced certificate—targeting entry-level to senior developers and projecting about 700 participants, with enrollment prioritized for U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
