Wyze Cameras Allow Accidental User Spying

Wyze confirmed a cybersecurity/privacy incident where a server/caching issue caused thousands of users to see camera thumbnails and some video feeds belonging to other customers; approximately 13,000 users received incorrect thumbnails and 1,504 enlarged them. Wyze temporarily removed the Events tab, implemented additional verification, required affected users to log out and reset tokens, and is investigating the root cause while attributing the problem to server overload following an AWS event.
