Unknown actors allegedly obtained Internet Archive Zendesk authentication tokens (reportedly from API keys exposed in GitLab) and used them to access support tickets and send a mass email on Oct. 20, claiming access to over 800,000 tickets since 2018; Zendesk says the issue was not a platform compromise and worked with Internet Archive to secure the account, while Internet Archive has not publicly commented.
