Resecurity observed a widespread "Leaksmas" event where multiple cybercriminals and hacktivist groups released and marketed roughly 50 million records of PII and compromised account data on the Dark Web — notable dumps included a 22M-record Movistar breach and other multi-million record sets — while sellers offered combo-lists and discounts to attract buyers, raising significant risk for identity theft and financial fraud.
