CatDDOS Threat Groups Sharply Ramp Up DDoS Attacks

Researchers have observed a resurgence of the CatDDoS Mirai-style botnet targeting organizations across multiple sectors and countries; operators and variant groups (e.g., RebirthLTD, Komaru, Cecilio Network) are exploiting over 80 vulnerabilities — both recent and long-standing — to recruit devices for large-scale DDoS attacks, with telemetry indicating more than 300 compromises per day.
