30 Alleged Members of 'The Com' Arrested in Project Compass

Europol's Project Compass is an international operation launched to disrupt 'The Com' — a decentralized collective of primarily young English-speaking cybercriminals and sub-groups (e.g., Scattered Spider, 764) involved in recruitment and grooming of minors, extortion/sextortion, data breaches and ransomware activity. The initial results include 30 arrests and identification of 179 members and 62 victims, while law enforcement emphasizes continued cooperation across 28 countries to safeguard victims and target extremist and child-exploitation activity within the network.
