Malvertisers Fool Google With AI-Generated Decoy Content

Researchers at Malwarebytes observed threat actors using AI-generated decoy pages in Google Search ads—so-called “white pages”—to fool ad-validation engines; these legitimate-appearing landing pages are used as cloaks to redirect victims to phishing sites or malware distribution (including examples that targeted corporate users and attempted to distribute the Lobshot backdoor).
