LLMs Raise Efficiency, Productivity of Cybersecurity Teams

Dark Reading’s survey reports that security teams see strong benefits from integrating LLM/GenAI into cybersecurity programs, including more efficient threat detection (28%), improved analyst productivity (27%), and better threat intelligence analysis (23%). Respondents noted gains such as faster reporting and adaptive learning (both 19%), reduced false positives and misconfigurations (both 15%), as well as support for proactive threat hunting (16%), user behavior analysis (15%), and incident response (15%). Business advantages include resource optimization (13%), scalability and skill augmentation (both 12%), reduced headcount needs (11%), improved security posture (11%), and lower operating costs (9%).
