Interpol Arrests Over 1K Cybercriminals in 'Operation Serengeti 2.0'

Interpol-led Operation Serengeti 2.0, conducted June–this month across 18 African countries and the UK, resulted in 1,209 alleged cybercriminal arrests, dismantled 11,432 malicious infrastructures, recovered $97.4M, seized mining equipment and illegal power stations, and disrupted large-scale scams including a cryptocurrency investment fraud (~65,000 victims, ~$300M losses) and inheritance scams (~$1.6M losses).
