Broadside, a newly observed Mirai variant, is actively exploiting CVE-2024-3721 against TBK DVR devices used in maritime operations to achieve command injection, credential harvesting, persistent Netlink-based process monitoring, and high-rate UDP flooding; researchers have observed active C2 traffic (TCP/1026 and TCP/6969) and published IoCs to help operators detect and mitigate the campaign.
