The DNS Abuse Institute rebrands as the NetBeacon Institute, expanding its mission to combat DNS abuse (malware, botnets, phishing, pharming, and related spam) and introducing renamed flagship programs: NetBeacon MAP for measuring phishing/malware and providing dashboards to registries/registrars, and NetBeacon Reporter for streamlined abuse reporting, developed with CleanDNS. The announcement highlights growth in reporting volume, a focus on transparency and collaboration with industry stakeholders, sponsorship of a DNS Abuse workshop with ICANN, and continued alignment with Public Interest Registry’s nonprofit mission.
