Researchers exposed a sprawling, three‑year influence operation comprising at least 500 Facebook and 904 X accounts that systematically promoted pro-Indian government and military messaging and attacked rival countries; the network used fake profiles, repetitive/overlapping posts and likely AI-generated content, remained largely undetected by platforms, but appears to have generated little measurable engagement.
