Google Updates Cloud Backup, Disaster Recovery Service

### Executive summary: Google announced three enhancements to its Cloud Backup and Disaster Recovery service: immutable, logically air-gapped backup vaults that prevent modification or accidental deletion; a centralized, fully managed, developer-centric backup management service with governance, monitoring, and reporting; and tighter integration with Google Cloud IAM to enable backups at VM creation. These preview features initially support Compute Engine VMs, VMware Engine VMs, Oracle and SQL Server databases, with vaults becoming generally available in the coming months and API/Terraform access planned.
