Australian law enforcement arrested a 42-year-old man accused of deploying fraudulent (“evil twin”) Wi‑Fi access points aboard a domestic flight and at multiple airports to trick passengers into submitting personal information and account credentials. Authorities recovered a mobile access device, laptop, and phone and warn travelers to avoid logging into public networks without protections such as VPNs, disable automatic Wi‑Fi connections, and disable file sharing.
