'PathWiper' Attack Hits Critical Infrastructure In Ukraine

Cisco Talos reported a new wiper named "PathWiper" used in a destructive cyberattack against an unidentified Ukrainian critical infrastructure organization; the malware—attributed to a Russia-linked APT—programmatically enumerates local and network drives and overwrites them with random data, representing an evolved and potentially more damaging wiper technique amid ongoing attacks on Ukraine's infrastructure.
