Wavestone’s Cyber Benchmark 2024 reports that large enterprises strengthened cyber staffing to an average of 1 cyber professional per 1,086 employees (financials at 1:267), with overall cyber readiness at 53% and security budgets steady at 6.6% of IT; cloud and data security maturity rose 5% and 4% year over year, while third‑party and ICS security lag at 48.9% and 39.9% maturity. The findings indicate meaningful progress in enterprise cybersecurity alongside persistent gaps in supply chain and industrial security.
