Zero-Days Win the Prize for Most Exploited Vulns

CISA's 2023 analysis found that zero-day vulnerabilities were the most routinely exploited flaws during the year, citing examples affecting vendors like Citrix and Cisco and urging organizations to check for compromise, prioritize patching, and deploy mitigations such as EDR, web application firewalls, network protocol analysis, and stronger identity and supply-chain protections.
