Chrome Drops Trust for Chunghwa, Netlock Certificates

Google will stop trusting certificates from Chunghwa Telecom and Netlock in the Chrome Root Store beginning Aug. 1 and with Chrome 139 (stable) around Aug. 5 due to repeated CA policy violations and a loss of integrity; affected users will see security interstitials and site operators using those CAs are advised to replace certificates before expiry (actions should be completed before certificates expire if planned after July 31, 2025) to avoid degraded browsing experiences.
