Antivirus, Anti-Malware Lead Demand for AI/ML Tools

Dark Reading’s survey finds enterprises increasingly adopting AI/ML across cybersecurity, with antivirus the only AI/ML-enhanced tool used by a majority (51%), and significant uptake in phishing detection (49%), threat detection/response (45%), and endpoint security (40%); additional integrations span malware analysis, IDS/IPS, threat intelligence, IAM, network security, vulnerability management, and SIEM (31–38%), while emerging use appears in UBA/predictive analytics, fraud detection, automated SecOps, and automated incident response (25–27%), driven by an arms race against adversaries employing AI/ML.
