Malicious Actors Sow Discord With False Election Compromise Claims

FBI and CISA warn of a disinformation campaign in which malicious actors use publicly available voter registration information to fabricate claims that US election infrastructure has been compromised; the agencies state they have no evidence of cyberattacks that changed voter data, prevented voting, or disrupted vote counting, and advise the public to verify claims with state and local election officials and trusted sources.
