AWS Enhances Cloud Security With Better Visibility Features

AWS announced a set of security enhancements at re:Inforce 2025 focused on identity and threat-detection capabilities: 100% MFA enforcement and FIDO2 passkey support, a new "internal access findings" feature in IAM Access Analyzer to improve least-privilege validation, a revamped AWS Security Hub that aggregates and prioritizes exposure and security findings, GuardDuty extensions for EKS/container threat detection, and a preview of Shield's network security director to identify and prioritize network misconfigurations and DDoS risks.
