Cybercrooks Target Docker Containers With Novel Pageview Generator

Attackers are targeting vulnerable Docker services to deploy two containers — a known XMRig cryptominer and a novel 9hits traffic-exchange app — using compromised compute to mine cryptocurrency and generate artificial page views (traffic credits) that can be monetized by selling to ad networks or otherwise exploiting inflated engagement.
