Millions Allegedly Affected in Allianz Insurance Breach

Allianz Life confirmed a July 16 breach of a third-party cloud-based CRM (Salesforce-hosted) that allegedly exposed personal information for roughly 1.1 million customers — including names, dates of birth, genders, phone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses. The company notified regulators, intends to notify affected individuals, and will provide two years of identity-protection services via Kroll.
