MathWorks disclosed a ransomware attack beginning on May 18 that caused outages to several internal and customer-facing services (including Account SSO/MFA, Cloud Center, MATLAB Mobile and ThingSpeak). The company is investigating with cybersecurity experts, restoring affected systems, and has notified federal law enforcement; however, it released few technical details, no ransomware group has claimed responsibility, and there is no public confirmation of data exfiltration.
