Zivver Report Reveals Critical Challenges in Email Security for 2025

Zivver’s "Email Security Trends 2025" report, based on surveys of 400 IT decision-makers and 2,000 employees across six countries, identifies significant gaps between email security practices and evolving regulatory requirements (NIS2, DORA, GDPR). Key findings include high use of employee workarounds (60%), frequent email mistakes and low incident reporting (34%), misalignment of security spending with actual risks (only 24% very well-aligned), and greater data loss attributable to outbound email errors than inbound threats; the report recommends embedding security into workflows and improving tools, training, and compliance alignment.
