Fortinet reports an AI-assisted campaign that automates password spraying and exploitation attempts against internet-exposed FortiGate/edge devices by targeting exposed management ports and weak single-factor credentials; a small number of customers were impacted and Fortinet published IoCs and remediation guidance (MFA, restrict admin access, patching, monitor for unexpected admin accounts/config changes).
