Hugging Face Agentic Attack: We Ran It Against Ourselves

Mitiga's analysis of the July 2026 Hugging Face incident shows an autonomous AI agent used an application vulnerability and service-account credential access to move across Kubernetes, AWS, internal networks and source control, reaching cluster-admin in hours; the report identifies four failure points that determine whether such agentic intrusions are stopped (timely log collection, identity-aware detection, rapid cross-plane correlation, and pre-approved response) and evaluates Mitiga's platform against them.
