Preventing the exploitation of Google Chrome vulnerability: CVE-2023-2033

Google disclosed an actively exploited zero-day remote code execution vulnerability in Chrome (CVE-2023-2033) affecting versions prior to 112.0.5615.121; users and administrators are urged to apply the out-of-band update immediately. ThreatLocker advises discontinuing Chrome until patched and has updated its default Chrome Ringfencing policy to block access to Desktop, Documents, and external drives to limit potential post-exploitation damage such as ransomware encryption.
