Application control: The foundation of Zero Trust security

This document explains Zero Trust application control—allowlisting, application containment, and least-privilege elevation—as preventative security measures to stop ransomware, malware, fileless/script-based attacks, and abuse of stolen credentials, and it promotes implementation best practices and vendor features to incorporate these controls into an organizational security stack.
