Chaos, a Ransomware-as-a-Service group first observed in March 2025, posted a 24-hour extortion demand on August 5, 2026 and then leaked an alleged 235 GB data cache from Healthcare Highways after receiving no response. The published tranche contains extensive protected health information (including full SSNs, DOBs, diagnoses, prescriptions, and high-cost patient lists) and verified client data from organizations such as Leander Independent School District and John Soules Foods, representing a significant breach of sensitive personal and medical records.
